Privacy Policy

1. What Tutti collects

Nothing about you. Tutti has no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, and no advertising identifiers. It never builds a profile of you or how you use it.

2. What stays on your Mac

Your device selections, presets, per-app volumes, latency adjustments, and every other preference are saved in your local macOS settings and never leave your Mac.

The Now Playing card reads the current track and artwork from Spotify or Apple Music on your own machine. That information is shown in the panel and is never sent anywhere.

3. Tutti Remote (iPhone)

Tutti Remote is a free companion app that turns your iPhone into a controller for the copy of Tutti running on your Mac. It finds your Mac on your local network with Bonjour, and the two are paired once with a short code that sets up an encrypted connection between them.

Over that connection your iPhone sends control actions — volume, mute, presets, device and app selections — and receives only what it needs to show you: the current track and artwork, and your device and app names and icons. All of it stays between your iPhone and your Mac on your local network. There is no account, no server in the middle, and no analytics on the iPhone either; nothing is uploaded anywhere. The pairing is stored on each device and you can remove it at any time from either side.

4. License activation

When you activate Tutti Pro, Tutti sends your license key and a short device label — your Mac’s name plus a few characters of its hardware identifier — to Dodo Payments over an encrypted connection. This is what binds a license to your Mac and counts your activations against the two-Mac limit.

The activation record is stored locally in the macOS Keychain. Deactivating from Settings → License removes the binding. Nothing else is sent.

5. Payments

Purchases, invoices, refunds, and license delivery are handled by Dodo Payments, the merchant of record. Tutti never sees or stores your name, email, or payment details — those are held by Dodo Payments under their own privacy policy.

6. Data retention

There isn't much to retain, since Tutti and its payment processor keep so little to begin with. License and billing records are kept by Dodo Payments for as long as needed for your license, taxes, and accounting — see their own privacy policy for specifics. Anything stored on your Mac, like your activation record or presets, stays until you delete it or uninstall the app.

7. Update checks

Tutti checks for new versions with Sparkle, which fetches a small update file hosted on GitHub Pages. As with any web request, your IP address is visible to the server, but no personal data is sent. You can turn automatic checks off in Settings.

8. Verify it yourself

Tutti is notarized by Apple, and you can watch its network behavior with a firewall tool like Little Snitch: the only connections it ever makes are the ones described on this page.

9. Your rights

Because Tutti itself holds almost nothing about you, most requests to access, correct, or delete data go through Dodo Payments, who holds your billing information, via their own privacy channels. For anything Tutti does hold locally, like the activation record in your Keychain, removing it is as simple as deactivating from Settings → License or uninstalling the app.

10. Children

Tutti is a general-purpose utility, not directed at children, and it collects no personal data from anyone.

11. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
